Google satellite view uses a flying saucer in some places

Post by Monster » Tue Jun 04, 2019 8:51 pm

I was fiddling with google satellite view over Death Valley and I moved to the east, into Nevada. I tried to look at the street view over a few of those round farm areas. The cursor turned into a flying saucer. I thought that that was amusing. It turns out that google satellite view uses a flying saucer cursor for a lot of places in the Nevada desert . The flying saucer in question is when you use the little orange guy in the lower right corner, and drag and drop him onto a location on the map.

Here's the location that I wrote about, above.

Better wear your sunglasses, Slick.

The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.

Does the cursor turn into a jackass when hovering over a legislature, parliament, congress etc.? I'm afraid to look.

I bet one of those saucers is floating above the disappeared half of that car I saw. :afdb:

And now the forum went bye bye, too.

It's back now. Probably just went to the corner store for a 6-pack and a bag of chips.

I checked it out in Washington DC, and sadly, no, it doesn't change into a jackass.
