Weapon Brown
Weapon Brown is a parody of old comic strips in a post-apocalyptic Earth.

Weapon Brown himself is Charlie Brown made into a cybernetic mercenary. Tons of comic characters can be seen. Calvin and Hobbes, Peanuts, Beetle Bailey, and Crock seem to be the comics that are the most represented.
Some of the other comic strips that are represented in Weapon Brown are Doonesbury, Bloom County, Little Orphan Annie, Boondocks, Broom Hilda, Popeye, Heathcliffe, Marmaduke, Blondie, the Wizard of Id, Dilbert, Garfield, Hagar the Horrible, Dennis the Menace, Prince Valiant, Family Circus, Dick Tracy, Flash Gordon, Herman, Get Fuzzy, and Shmoo.
I used to read Crock, and it was completely boring. I read it when I was a kid. I had forgotten about it until I read Weapon Brown. Specifically, the author's notes at the end of the book.

Re: Weapon Brown
I already have a bunch of comic strips that I don't keep up on, but this seems intriguing enough to at least give it a try.

Re: Weapon Brown
I bought the Weapon Brown graphic novel and loved it. It's around 300 pages I think. Or 250. Something like that. It's superb. I can recommend it for children that are over the age of 18.
