MST3K

Sort of like "The Bookshelf" but for... you get the idea.

MST3K

Post by Jeffk 1970 » Mon Aug 01, 2016 3:59 am

My local PBS channel is now showing "Mystery Science Theater."

I loved the show, I used to watch it when it was on Comedy Central and Sci-Fi (yes, I know they've changed their names but that was what they were called in the 90's).

The boys in the show made watching terrible movies funny.

“I noticed this morning that a group of our Landsberg friends have been given their freedom this morning. These include...Schubert, Jost and Nosske. Schubert confessed to...supervising the execution of about 800 Jews...(referring to the order to clean up Simferopol)...Schubert managed to kill all the Jews (by Christmas 1941). Nosske was the one the other defendants called the biggest bloodhound....
Noel, Noel, what the hell.”

Heretic! It's MST3K! Would you call Lego "Legos"? Would you pull on Superman's cape? Would you kill Jason Bourne's girlfriend?

I beg your forgiveness.

You are right, it is properly called MST3K.

:D

On a brighter note, I watched "The Unearthly," a brilliant crapfest starring John Carradine.

I have corrected my mistake.

I know, I think they come out this year. I'm going to try and keep up on it.

The ultimate episode in my estimation was The Creeping Terror.
Though Manos, Hands of Fate is right up there.

I have Manos taped, haven't had a chance to watch it.

My favorite is Soultaker it's a classic written by, directed by, and starring the same person.

I legitimately love that POS. I even watch the un-mistied version.

I watched all the ones my local PBS showed but now they've stopped.

They also pop up on Amazon Prime and Netflix from time to time.
