Post by Monster » Tue May 07, 2019 1:54 am

I heard this story as part of the NoSleep podcast. I instantly thought of gorgeous. I know that she'll appreciate it. The NoSleep episode that this story is featured in is an episode for paying customers only, but you can read the source short story at the link below. The story is called The President is Human by Kristopher Patten. It's about a speech writer for the president making a speech about the president in question.

For those who are concerned about being bored by reading a story, it's not very long.

You exaggerate. It has whole paragraphs. Plural.
. . . with the satisfied air of a man who thinks he has an idea of his own because he has commented on the idea of another . . . - Alexandre Dumas 'The Count of Monte Cristo"

There is no statement so absurd that it has not been uttered by some philosopher. - Cicero
