In an infinitely variable universe, it is possible that potatoes can become the dominant lifeform.

Why invent things which are so unlikely? Immortality for humans is about as likely as super-spuds dominating the solar system. There are so many things we can choose to be afraid of. Why bother?

Infinetely old?......ok.

Alone.............Eventually....yes. but until then, surrounded by lots of mortal souls. I don't see why immortality would also be restricted to only you. Why not everyone else as well? Takes a very special gullibility to think you and only you will become immortal.

Private......are you repeating the Alone concept or something in addition?

I do love time travel stories, especially those back to the past to change something and it never works out. Kind of a close relative is becoming long lived if not immortal. show on tv last year about the immortal guy who each time he was killed would wind up underwater and have to swim to the surface to continue on...absent being stabbed by a magic sword. The magic sword kinda ruined it for me.

Will you have to do anything special to become immortal or will it simply be bestowed upon yourself....and do you have a choice?

I suppose on a quantum scale there is some validity but quantum anything else is a lie. Told to the gullible. Tread carefully.
