That was an excellent attempt, for which I'm sure the multi-appendaged one will personally thank you. However, I think I have the ultimate cure ...

Certainly, a lack of a certain breed of furniture destroying hounds has been a gripe for me these past few days.

There's this TV show in the UK where dogs do stuff and then more stuff, then there's a heart-felt plea for money, and then finally more stuff. It's puerile, childish, good-clean-fun. So, obviously, I'm worried it might get re-commissioned...

It's one of those things that I've missed (but not missed) whilst being at work - That I've now been reacquainted with in a big way.

And not a Beagle in sight

That's a blast from the past, and is of course precisely what I mean!

They completely killed the breed's provenance with that gaffe.

Crufts will never be the same again, once Leicester DeMontfort send a "Springer Spaniel" probe to Venus...

Their strengths lie, apparently, in English Literature and Midwifery. Venus should remain relatively unmolested. Meanwhile, the other one seems to be concentrating upon the remains of Richard III. You and your beagle should also remain relatively unmolested.

Anything to further the principle of cephalopod flotation. Think of the possible advantages to canoe propulsion.

Excellent. I should hate to be the victim of an exploratory mission. One of the problems in theoretical physics, and indeed astrophysics, is that "No" means "Maybe".

I vote they stick with Oars
