That could never happen here. We could never have too many people, too many cars, too much pollution, carbon, methane. There's no way this planet could overheat, become hard to survive on. Capitalism will save us all. Why....the dinosaur minds in the climate section have all the graphs and quotes to prove it.

I honestly think George Carlin was on to something when he said that humans were put on Earth to make plastic. Perhaps the coming ecological upheaval of the anthropocene isn't some big attack on the biosphere, but just another chapter in the evolutionary saga of planet Earth? We humans think we're so clever and so powerful, even when we are "destroying" the planet. But at the end of the day we're only doing what nature 'wants' us to do...
