Problem at School

Post by tecpaocelotl » Fri Oct 05, 2012 6:36 pm

I rarely get into "politics" here, but there's something I want people to pay attention to and it's going to need a lot of people to make this work.

I came across this site:

http://www.smithlifescience.com/8-5olmecs.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Carefully read it.

The site has references that the Olmecs were black along with using many sources from Clyde Winters who is the leading guy with the Olmecs were black movement.

Though the page looks harmless, it belongs to two teachers in a public school at East Moline, IL as you can see here:

http://www.smithlifescience.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This is as bad as creation being taught at school.

Proof that they still work there:

http://glenview.emsd37.org/index.php?op ... mitstart=0" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I have already sent letters to the school administrators:

http://glenview.emsd37.org/index.php?op ... &Itemid=18" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And I have sent a complaint explaining that this shouldn't be in a public school. I told them they have Friday (which is today) to have the site corrected or removed or action will be taken in the form of more complaint letters along from others along with media taking coverage.

Though I think my last statement was a bit bold, action does need to help.

What I want people to do is:
1. Spread the word
2. Write complaints to the administration
3. Message the news media (I haven't done the research yet, but will post it once I do.)

Look at their website:

The third link I posted, the database is not connected to the web page. It could either be bc it's just a coincidence (hardware/software problems) or school removed it.

*update*

To contact the media in that area:

They look more aisan/polynesian to me, just judging by their art.
This being was produced using the same process as other beings, and therefore, may contain traces of nuts.

They do have asiatic features, but since the "Olmec heads" are made from dark stone, certain people think they're black. :lol:

I'm not sure if it's new or it's been there the whole time, but on that life science home page they have this statement:

Please Note: The Webmaster of this site takes all reasonable precautions to screen and control content that may be considered inappropriate and objectionable to our audience of users. Although we take careful measures, it cannot be guaranteed that the content of linked materials will not change, therefore allowing the possibility of inappropriate or objectionable content to appear. The East Moline School District and SmithLifeScience.com is not responsible for changes of content of any hyperlinked materials. Please notify the Webmaster of any materials considered inappropriate or objectionable and we will take all tactful steps to remove it immediately. Send an email using the above link to Mr or Mrs Smith, noting the particular link name.
