And I have to lock my front gate, turn out the lights, and cower in fear of harassment! LOL

Actually, it's funny, in Sweden many families have now taken up Halloween and it's almost a regular holiday there. That - not the admission of a many 1000s of migrants - signals the decline of their society :)

Wow, you have some ballistic trick or treaters!!!!!

Our kids know not to go up to houses that have their lights off. We also know the good neighborhoods with the best candy....

Good, I missed it. I’ll start using that from now on.

Dusty in Memphis is one of the great albums of the '60s. And really ever.

From two new releases I've been listening to over and over:

Thanks Stat, i missed that cat power put out a new album.
Sorry to say that i am a huge fan of her. Her 2003 album - you are free - is still one of my favorite.
This new title "Stay" is just superb.
Thanks again.

Not fair! LOL, needless to say, I am, too; I love You Are Free, The Greatest (where she's backed by the Hodges brothers from Hi Studios, Memphis), and Sun. I tried ordering tickets to her upcoming show in Chicago, the day they went on sale no less: sold out. :(

The Greatest of course, which I incidentally learned about thanks to one of the few great french movie, long after its release. The title track is one of her best.
Here it is, it is just perfect:

We had a game with friends a long time ago, which consisted in writing down the most we could understand from her lyrics. The challenge was on that wronderful song:

None ever won.

I tried to buy tickets to a local show of Go4. I logged on at 10am, when the tickets went on sale. They were sold out. My son warned me that only Andy Gill plays with G04 today.

Thank you for that. Your son is correct. Jon King, the original singer has been replaced by a bloke called John "Gaoler" Sterry. I will pass on the concert.

In 1980 I was in London and convinced a friend to go with me to see John Foxx singing for his "arty punk band" Ultravox. The first three Ultravox albums were pretty good. Anyhow, when when Ultravox came on stage, the singer was Midge Ure singing poofta soppy love ballads. Grrrrrrrrrrrr....... :D

Here are 2019’s inductees for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame:

I don’t give a damn about Janet Jackson, the rest are fine. Probably post some favorite tunes from each one shortly.

Tonight for the first time I heard Kanye West ("Bound"), R Kelly ("Trapped in the Closet"), Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga (I vaguely recall hearing her at some point). I can't stop laughing. We also played some of the worst songs from the '60s for reference. They weren't as funny. We played a parody version of "Bound," and it wasn't as funny as what Kanye came up with.

Stumbled across this, not sure which version I prefer more:

Tom kinda schools Bruce on the guitar.

Bruce always looks constipated, that man needs more fiber.
