Why are you talking to me, anyway? In my philosophy your words are as empty polythene bags in a stream.

Exactly, we all like a good story.

One simply cannot separate the story from the book.

Notice I am a Nondualist, I like to discuss Non-duality, that is why I am in the Non-duality forums. You know the ones where I can talk about a topic I actually know anything about.

Notice I do not post on any other forum on this website. That's because I have no idea what they are talking about on other forums here. If I did, I would be there talking about those subjects, but I'm not.

So the question is not why I am talking to you fool, it is why are you talking to me ?..and why do you seem to have a big massive problem with me wanting to talk about what I like to talk about ?

What are you doing on this Consciousness thread/forum?

What is it you actually want from this Nondual discussion I'm engaging in? and why are so so aggressive about anything discussed here regarding the topic?

Walk the walk and talk the talk. Or get lost.

Get your nose out of your arse. You're all over the forum like a rash. And since when was this subject defined as the sacred precinct of non-dualism? I mean, thank goodness it isn't otherwise we wouldn't have even the words to describe the concepts. But, in typical fashion, you think awareness and consciousness are magic and therefore become the property of fairy-tale twisters. Think again.

Yes, reality is everywhere at once.

Poodle wrote:And since when was this subject defined as the sacred precinct of non-dualism?
It's not.

Oh, you'll think of some,
Poodle wrote:But, in typical fashion, you think awareness and consciousness are magic and therefore become the property of fairy-tale twisters.
No, you think that. You have no proof I think that.

I'd like to see you try and make life from no thing....that's the work of a genius from where I'm looking :frown: I mean who could possibly pull something like that off...don't you think it is an amazing piece of magic to pull something like that off...or did you just think it all popped up out of thin air
Thanks for admitting I'm a genius. I did make life from nothing...it's called "reproduction," but it's not magic. Didn't your parents have The Talk with you yet? *sigh* So, when a mommy and daddy love each other very much...

Well, that's quite complimentary, but I do make occasional mistakes.
placid wrote:but your not Nikki
You're missing a noun and a verb between "your" and "not." Oh...wait. Did you mean, "But you're not Nikki?" In that case, you're also wrong. I must be Nikki because no one else is. Except for my friend, Nikki. And my other friend, Nikki. Oh, and my other friend, Nikki. (Oddly, I actually have three friends also named Nikki. We've never all been in the same room for fear of dividing by zero.)

Again, quite complimentary, but I'm mad as a hatter. We're all mad here.

Well the last time I looked I couldn't find anything missing - in fact I appear to be all present and correct.

The whole universe would collapse if there was anything missing.

And you wouldn't be worried about verbs and nouns any more if that happened, not that the universe gives a rats tail about things like verbs and nouns going missing anyway...they don't exist in the universe. They only exist as imaginary concepts.

Yes, I have.

We need language in order to communicate with each other...otherwise we'd all be like dolphins blowing nothing but a few squeaks and whistles at each other.

I see you got a thanks for that post, gosh what must you think of yourself now? you got a stamp of approval.

You have no proof that I am anything at all.

Your only proof is yourself, that you exist.

And because you know without doubt that you exist, you assume other do too.

This is the dualistic error....other is only ever a projection of you.

And you are a projection of me.

Believe what you want Matt...I've found my truth, I gave up believing lies years ago.

I freely admit that "not knowing anything" is my biggest fear. I'm physically disabled with multiple chronic pain and autoimmune disorders, but my intellectual life helps make dealing with them easier. Dementia, stroke, or traumatic brain injury would end my quality of life, since it would deprive me of nearly everything I enjoy. Read the short story "Flowers for Algernon" by Daniel Keyes. Or watch the excellent movie adaptation Charly.

Don't worry. Angel has some sort of weird relationship with her brother and thus posts poems about Jesus on our science forum. It's just another disorganised mad person seeking attention.

I too have the same condition as you, isn't that a surprise? :o

The collapsing of the separate self notion has made this one here able to endure anything. Peace amid the chaos, in the world but not of it. Just abiding in unbiased nondual presence, it's beautiful.

And then I come to this forum because I want to have some {!#%@} stirring fun like everyone else here...I love to watch the settled mud of the muddy mind be mixed up again with the clarity(water)(liquid mind) at the top, until nothing is seen of the clarity until it becomes clear again, which it does as soon as one stops shaking it up, it comes clear every time, thank goodness...I'm a she by the way.

My quality of life is poor physically, but mentally, I'm fine, but even though I cannot get out of the house these days, I've still got an imagination...which can take me anywhere, and experience anything...not sure if that imagination would be affected by stroke brain injury or dementia as those things have not been my experience yet.

Every one who posts on a forum is seeking attention. It's like I know this and I know that and does anyone agree with me, and what do you think of me now kind of thing. But why waste time pretending to be someone your not when you can just be yourself the real fictional character and get a big yes of approval every time from yourself.
