I dropped the ball on keeping myself well sunscreened yesterday and now my shoulders and neck are tender.
They really mean it when they say to “liberally” apply that stuff. (That, and I don’t think I waited long enough for the stuff to set it.)

Well..............crap!!!! got my new computer basically built but want to finese a few parts before I do the smoke test. What I need is my GLUE GUN to mount the hot swap sata cage in my modified case BUT I can't find my glue gun!!!

Irritating.

I have "all my stuff" catalogued on a spread sheet: date bought, cost, from whom, and where it is located in my house. And its when AS HERE that I failed to do that with some item that I realize how important it is. I actually think I have two glue guns....and used one of them a few months ago...but right now...I'm S O L. Can't find it.....or the 30 glue sticks that go with it. Ha, ha.... should I buy a third glue gun, or use some slower setting glue/silicone...or wait for the item to be noticed?

Pros and Cons to all we do..................

Ha, ha........whats even MORE FRUSTRATING is an item in the spreadsheet, but its not there. Last month I invited my sister to come over and take the Hummel Figurines I don't really relate to and she does. She came over.... could not find the key to the slider lock on the curio cabinet. SPREAD SHEET SAYS: Its in box 25 in my storage system. Its not there........why not? Now....I have to go to a locksmith to have a key made. a year from now, a key will be found somewhere===>but WHY is it not in box 25??? Pisses me off................................... (man!).

====================Spread Sheet says I own 236 things. Its way more than that.....236 things I can find in 30 seconds is the real info. Do you really own something if you can't find it and use it??????

No, I'm trying to get below 5.....in the + Ok zone. Speaking of OK and 7Up....I consider myself quite lucky to have given up all soft drinks from day one. Never "a choice" I made, just not attracted to sugar water. Not candy either. Just the sugar in baked items shows a sweet tooth. Very serendipitous dietary habits.......other than beer and bakery.

Not a grind thank Darwin but my new computer build passed the smoke test. Minor concern as it shows the start up splash screen for Win 7 but then goes into constant restarts. I assume its a driver issue as the bios is totally accessible. So, I put in a Win 10 drive, it loaded drivers for about 2 minutes (while the machine was freestanding and not on internet or driver CD in place....... must be pulling drivers from all those files I'd like to delete but stop as we are told not to?)...and it works perfectly. A few more case mods and I'll be set for another five years.........

I really don't want to update the bios as we are told we should do. Years ago, I bricked a totally fine machine. Supposed to be near fool proof these days and correctable when it happens??? I don't trust it..........

Women can be great skeptics and philosophers, but very few seem to hang around here IMO.
Could be the edgy, sometimes rude rough-and -tumble that we're used to in this forum.

Our BIGGEST Burger Ever!
Two Bob’s Big Bear Burger patties for 1.25 lbs of
seasoned ground beef, golden onion rings, fried egg,
your choice of cheese, grilled onion, bacon,
lettuce, tomato, pickle, mayo and
Thousand Island dressing all stacked high.

A Beary Happy Father's Day!
I'm SERIOUS: How is this "thing" (that I don't respeck, but that is a side not on their menu) supposed to be eaten? I've seen not quite so large burgers squashed to make them fit, but most hydraulic presses are not transportable.........so how is this eaten? Like pizza: with a knife and fork seems totally un-burger. So start in some place and nibble away?

It might be my vegan too slight preference....but I like my burgers where the meat is just the garnish. Love a ripe tomato, onion, and lettuce .......and always the sauce. Went to I, Chang's recently and had a burger that was wrapped in lettuce with no bread. Quite tasty and 3 x more healthy.

Pros and Cons to all we do...........hard to find a pro for a 1.25 pound burger though.

Edit: I took "your choice" as only picking one vegetable to go with the burger........but it doesn't expressly prohibit getting all of them? How tall would that make the Homage to Gluttony?

When did Yanks start calling burgers "sandwiches"? I've been hearing it often recently, and it annoys me.

The defining characteristic of a sandwich is that top and bottom bread components are slices of a bread loaf, sliced on both sides. Usually containing cold meat &/or vegetables. But they can contain hot meats.

A roll is a bread bun smaller than a loaf, and sliced in half with cold meat &/or vegetables. And can also contain hot meats.

A burger, however, is a bread bun sliced in half with hot meat &/or vegetables.

You can call a roll with hot meat a burger, and a burger a hot roll...

But you can't call either a sandwich!

For our foreign viewers, it should be made clear, that when Mr Malfunction is referring to his "snag" he means his "sausage".

(Edited for the following reason : Matthew posted a photo of what he thought were sausages that looked like dicks. Another member sent Matthew a PM noting that they were real dicks and Pyrrho would be angry......so Matthew deleted the photo) :D

Yes. Eating sausages in front of your mates at a BBQ is an important cultural initiation.

They all want to know if you'll bite it off if it gets near your face.

Several days ago I was feverishly working in my yard - trimming away at trees and shrubs. It was hot, the third day at it so I was fatigued, and I was mildly dehydrated. I noticed that when I looked at something I initially saw a blue flash that disappeared in less than a second as I focused. This repeated maybe 20 times or so. I had never experienced this before. In total it lasted only a few minutes and stopped as I sat, rested, and rehydrated.

Probably gamma rays intersecting your eyeballs. Maybe you should consider a Geiger counter whilst gardening.

No doubt that is it... but emanating from stones, weeds, even tools?

I poked around with Mr. Google, and it seems the brain - little one that I have, generates it - unless it is a detached retina which would have additional symptoms. Methinks my eyeballs and brain were just dehydrated...

It's the gateway into Universe X. What you saw were interdimensional beings transferring into the Gorgeous system. Now they know they were seen. Your only recourse is alcohol, which renders you invisible and so protected from harm.

Well, .................................. computer won't boot. Everything was running just fine, then I added two fans, a usb riser, and different keyboard and mouse. All it does now is "No signal to Monitor" and the Monitor constantly cycles into standby mode. Does it with or without a hard drive for the OS. Without the hard drive.....it should open up the Bios screen....but no signal there either.

Gack!! I find nothing so frustrating. Is the mother board fried? Or is it the combo of new parts all of which should not be an issue? I don't have the skills to fix this other than by luck, and there is no way to "explain" this to a tech in India to get any help.

Do it Yourself, is fun, until......... you can't get it done. In pure ignorance....I'll let it sit unplugged over night and reset the cmos.....but I don't see how that would fix anything.........but then, IM IGNORANT!!! I'd be so happy using the computer just as it was before my last upgrades? Thats a thing with all these electronic gizmos: rarely, can you tell whats wrong, or fix it.

Fingers, crossed.

No doubt that is it... but emanating from stones, weeds, even tools?
Yeah. You've dug up something from WW2. I'd get that checked.

Any particular year? Most of them have gone off by now.
