2016 Olympics

Postby JO 753 » Sat Aug 06, 2016 12:01 am

Kicked off tonite at 6:30 in the US central time zone with a preview show. I got about 3 minits into it wen I realized the entire 30 minits wuz going to be the haf second video klips I hate. Turned it off. I'll go back at 7 wen the opening serimonyz begin. Hopefully the director uv that will not be a graduate uv the Tony Scott skool uv ADHD directing.

Another thing thats bugging me about it iz the krappola I think NBC iz playing az the theme song. The lyrics sound like they were ritten by 3rd graderz for a local radio show contest, then performed by an amatuer boy band. I havent been paying much attention, so am not sure its associated with the Olympics.

If it iz, then theze 2 sinez uv imbisility portend a dizasterous Olympic Gamez. And given all the other kaos in Rio, it woud hardly be a claim to profesy.

In fact, the combination uv the Zika virus and the rampant sex that goez on during the nonstop party coud go down in history az the beginning uv the zombie apocolypse!

Or maybe just a major step toward the Idiocrasy future.

Ignored. I never even turned it on in the first place.

Too corrupt. I've sworn off the Olympics for the rest of forever.

I watch the opening ceremonies and was quite impressed by the tricycles leading each countries team into the stadium. I've got to get an electric tricycle like that for myself.

And the dwarfs accompanying each team, carrying pots with marijuana plants  were very cute too.

And then there was this half naked guy from Tonga in a long skirt who managed to pour a bottle of shiny glue on himself presumably to look good. Anyone getting too close to him could probably say good bye to the Olympic dream since it would probably take weeks to unglue the two people.

Good show. The director did not go ADHD.

I think the huge explosion seen in August in my recent remote viewed video from July could be at the Olympics...seen as a catastrophic event...lots of brown skinned people seen and lots of accents ...

I play this magic trick on children. Haven't you worked out the trick yet?

Easy Magic Trick: An Impossible Prediction

Effect:
You bring out and lay an envelope down onto the table and tell your spectators that there is a "prediction" that you've written inside. You bring out a deck of cards and show that the cards are different. At this point, you ask a spectator to name a number. Based on the spectator's freely named (random) number, a card is selected. When the letter inside the envelope is opened and read, it states the exact card that was chosen.

Well that explains it! My mother keeps going on about volleyball, and "how short all the tall people are" I kid you not.

Her: "Did you see how short the tall people were?"
Her: "I said to your father, 'look at how short all the tall people are'."
Her: "Those tall people were very short for such tall people."
Me: "Yeah, uh-huh, just...just eat your pudding."

I was watching the women's road race -cycling. The Dutch cyclist Van Vleuten was leading about 16 km before the finish line when out of sudden she didn't make the turn in the road and spectacularly crashed cracking her three vertebrae and getting a nasty concussion.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoKSJpy3yNw

An American woman cyclist who was second became first and probably thought she had the gold medal in the bag. But with just a few, maybe 200 meters to the finish the three sprinters from Belgium Netherlands and Italy who were behind her put on a awesome display of what sprinters can do. The women literally stepped on it and rocketed past the hapless American cyclist who actually for the whole duration of the race did an admirable job but run out of steam 100 meter before the finish.

In the men's Tour de France a guy from Slovakia Peter Sagan was a best sprinter and could rocket past anybody just few meters from the finish. The winner of the Tour de France Chris Froom knew that and since he was an excellent long distance hauler, probably the best, he used to make sure that he would get away from Peter Sagan far enough and early enough so that the latter would not get close to him at the end to do his final sprint.

Fortunately for Chris Froom Peter Sagan was not that good on long and mountainous stages of Tour de France.

I did the same kind of crash on a motorcycle once. Young enough to bounce. She looks like she did exactly what I remember...."Ho Hum another turn, half way through, think I'll stop paying attention and assume the bike will turn itself......" Never had the same problem with cars or planes...stop riding my cycle that very day...after I paid attention all the way home.

Best namez at Rio: Steele Johnson, a synkronized diver. Therez also Brooke Sweat (beach volleyball) and Simone Biles (jimnastics). Wherez Blood and Tearz?

Az I type this the US & Canada tied for gold in the womenz 100m freestyle.

Earlier there wuz the menz 50m freestyle. No turnz, the fatsest swimmerz in the world, so a reliable indicatoir uv how fast a human can swim. 21 secondz = 5.326mph. I think a guppy coud beat that.

Medals so far per Capita.

1) Slovenia 3
2) New Zealand 4
3) Estonia 1
4) Hungary 7
5) Lithuania 2
6) Australia 14

Australia's new plan is to immediately grant all these countries, beating Australia, huge foreign aide grants and increase their per capita income.

(For New Zealand, we'll just send the New Zealand team a press release confirming that Crowded House is an Australian band. They will be so enraged their performance will go downhill.)

OK! You haf to be in the next Olympics or else! Wut event woud you pik?

You haf to do your best, kuz the lower you get below gold medal, progressively dire consequensez will rezult. Make up your own Speed premise.

I'd haf to do sum tryouts to deside between boxing and the long jump. I hav a rock crusher rite, a wood pulverizing left and a doomzday uppercut, so I coud do well az long az nobody punchez back. I saw the long jump yesterday and hav an idea for flying way farther than 29 ft, but its too obvious so its likely that it duznt work.

You only got 4 yirz to train, so you better start NOW by cutting out the Doritoz!

I am pretty good at doing finger lifts... number 6 out of the 12 shown. But if not that - then number 12 for sure.
