Mindless Fun..........I'd like to do

Postby bobbo_the_Pragmatist » Tue Jun 21, 2016 7:00 pm

Link is a series of ball drop mechanism a la Rube Goldberg. Fun to watch...once.

A few good ideas for that ball drop clock I'd like to build. There are actually some nice wood kits for sale on that. I like kinetic art...especially when it "does" something.

I am an absolute fan if these fun machines. I have seen one where the balls take alternative routes, because there were these see-saw "things" that let the ball go one way or another. A person could sit there for hours looking for patterns.

I have also seen one that used water pouring into overbalanced cups and taking different routes.

I am into watching the grass grow. It really develops your mind. :beach:

You'se guys must be some kind of intellectual......so passive.........to the point of being inert.

THE POINT: make these yourself. Looking at other examples, is good ground work. Its only my Pragmatism that holds me back...not the grass between my toes.

I particularly liked to see that some of the balls escaped... good on them!
