Good Bye Big Bang

Postby isodual » Fri Nov 02, 2012 2:43 pm

I decided to put this under the “scams and cons” category as that is exactly what the “big bang” was.

Finally, the debate is over…

Ok, so I made it about a third of the way through this before I realized that it was written by someone with bad English, and as far as I am concerned, if you are trying to impart this kind of earth-shattering knowledge to the entire world and you don't take the fifteen minutes it would require to run it through a spelling and grammar checker, then you have already lost me. Looked like nonsense anyway.

The Big Bang as currently theorized by Physics has been known for 20 years or more to not work.

Quantum effects would have caused the inflationary period to end at different times in different places and in fact some parts of the Universe should still be undergoing inflation.

The odds that we would exist in a section of space where inflation has ended are far too small. There should be an infinite number of "pockets" of the universe undergoing inflation at different rates right now, due to quantum effects.

We don't see any of this.

Of course, it only means that we've either got inflation wrong, or quantum theory wrong.

I'll go with the former.

It appears some folks here don't believe in evolution because they haven't evolved.

The universe is expanding, but some people's knowledge of it isn't. That just goes to show that the cosmological constant does not apply to brain function.

Evolution and the Big Bang are two separate topics. What happens on this little mud ball matters zero to the Universe as a whole. The fact that creotards think it does is a monument to their own ego. I'm reminded of Rod Steiger's last scene in "Mars Attacks".

Once it is down letter perfect, it's a Law. IDer's don't have a decent hypothesis yet.

Theories never really become laws in the global sense. Sure, there is a "law" of gravity, but the theories DESCRIBING gravity are purely conditional. That is after all what makes science so flexible, progressive, and great.

The rigid stereotyping of thought in ID circles is part of what makes it such a {!#%@} a joke.
