It's a typical thing for Trump to say because he thinks he can 'cheat' the political process: we have a number of different reports of his cheating at golf and getting away with it because, hey, he's entertaining.

In the same way, he thinks he can incite violence and anger and still keep his support of more moderates .

And he might be absolutely right about that,
I've come up with a set of rules that describe our reactions to technologies:
Spoiler:
1. Anything that is in the world when you’re born is normal and ordinary and is just a natural part of the way the world works.
2. Anything that's invented between when you’re fifteen and thirty-five is new and exciting and revolutionary and you can probably get a career in it.
3. Anything invented after you're thirty-five is against the natural order of things.

I actually tortured myself and listened to the tape - for about three minutes. In which he (paraphrased) went on about jobs going to China (booooo), and how that country cheats (boooooooo), and what a great business relationship he has with it... :purplex:

Trump's appeal will disappear like smoke if not elected: after Clinton's inauguration the media will find more interesting things to talk about and he will only be remembered like an old sitcom people used to watch.

Electric Monk is right about the future. Trump will disappear.

Trump already established a "Trump cult". The Doonesbury cartoons from the 80's indicate that. From cult busting activities, there is a general rule : The cult leader must keep the cult's framework mysterious and ambiguous or the cult fails. Therefore Mr Trump has a problem. The more he attempts to become reasonable and clarify his policies, the more of his current "fuzzy logic" followers will abandon him.

Frankly, I don't think it is an issue anymore. There are a lot of indicators that Trump is preparing to either bail out before the election or prepare to blame "mysterious forces" for a landslide vote against him.

I think Trump is an idiot and his recent extreme comments are his self-conceived, poor attempt for the equivalent of "death by moderator" with the moderate press serving as the moderators.

Point taken, Trump has played on the mainstream medias proclivity for sensationalism like a voilin, and I'm not even sure he meant to. It's all been a continual massive accident that keeps working in his favor as it gives him constant free media coverage.

Donald Trump created another firestorm on Tuesday when he seemed to suggest violence as a means of preventing Hillary Clinton from nominating judges.

"If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do folks," Trump told a crowd in Wilmington, North Carolina. "Although the Second Amendment people, maybe there is I don't know."

This received front page coverage in Australia. You have presidential candidate who is suggesting to citizens they may be able to shoot another politician, who they don't agree with.

Trump was referring to political action by gun rights advocates, like what occurred in the 1994 mid-terms when they helped to give control over both houses to the Republicans after the passage of a gun control bill the year before.

Meanwhile, where is the outcry over Killary's threat to assassinate Obama in 2008? Especially in light of the several recent untimely deaths of some of her detractors? Where is the outcry over the assassination threats and attempts that have been made against Trump??

The really bad thing is the USA is not doing anything about this as a unified country that offers itself as a model for younger democracies.

 Are you kidding me?? After what happened to JFK, RFK, and Reagan, not to mention recent developments like the disastrous attempts at "nation building" in the mid-east and the advent of the Patriot Acts, you think this is the thing that endangers the USA's ability to act as a "model for younger democracies"?

This is now way beyond party partisan issues and is now simply damaging to the USA. Australia loses out if the USA damages its image.

How does Australia lose out?? Last time I checked it was an independent country with a completely different political system from that of the US.

Australia pays for USA military deterrent.
Trump sates that USA allies will help pay for the USA's extended deterrence that helps protects us.

Does that mean Australia also gets the two keys to the President's nuclear football?

Hey, if you don't want to pay you can always try standing on your own two military feet. Or you could try cosying up to China (let us know how that works out for you).

No you don't get control over the US nuclear arsenal, and why would you?? If being under the US military/nuclear umbrella isn't enough for you free-riders, then go and build your own nukes!

Does that mean we can charge the USA for our war against communists in Malaya and Indonesia, which the Americans were too busy to fight, as they were too busy losing Vietnam.....where we were also fighting?

Only after they charge you for services rendered in WW2.

You see, when President Obama says that police need to improve relations with minorities, the right wing idiot heard, "Black people need to kill cops".
Now some people called for the killing of police in retaliation for the shooting deaths of unarmed black men and those people are wrong. A lone gunman kills 5 cops and your typical right wing idiot blame the president.
But when that dipshit coward trump clearly meant to suggest shooting her for his own political gain, your typical right wing idiot now says words have no consequences or meaning or any number of excuses but the only difference I see is in the skin color of the person saying it. Venerable Kwan Tam Woo supports a violent racist so I can only conclude that he is one, too.

Dear Reader,

A private organization just published a document that could destroy Obama's administration... before he leaves office.
It reveals 5 life-saving secrets that have been regularly DENIED by a department of our government directly under our Liar-in-Chief.
We've blurred the title of the document because of its controversial nature, but you can see it by clicking below.

Sincerely,

So far Trump's had nothing but bad weeks according to the mainstream enemedia's propaganda war against him...

Wow, you have really swallowed the FOX kool-aid, haven't you?

I don't watch or read FOX.

You sure spout it though. What conspiracy site did you get it from?

I didn't get it from any "conspiracy site", I have just compared what the mainstream enemedia says about him versus what he actually says and does.

Yes you did. Where do you think terms like "enemedia" came from?

Despite my obvious political differences with Venerable Kwan Tam Woo I can't help thinking he has a point ... in terms of how much dirt there is on Hilary for him to start bringing up, and in terms of how easy it is to manipulate people through the mainstream media outlets.

Trump supporters are generally dumb, yea, I think we can all agree on that as a generalization; but the same could be said for the fervant Hillary supporters, most of which are not really sure why they are supporting her in terms of actual policy change.

She does have a vagina though, apparently that makes a huge difference.

There are clever people supporting both sides too, but just by basic demographics they are far outnumbered by the masses, that are all extremely influenced by the whims of emotive media hyperbole, based far more on sensationalism than actual concerete policies that effect the very people who will be voting.
Always be you, unless you can be a unicorn; then be a unicorn.

I`ve said it before - either here on these forums, or maybe it was another site somewhere - but I know why I would support Hillary. It is simply because of the depths of depravity that the Republicans stooped to in order to impeach Bill - for what? For doing exactly what they themselves would have done, or were doing, but just hadn’t yet been caught at. Simple really.

On the other hand - with Trump as the Republican candidate, Micky Mouse would have made an acceptable opposition candidate.

Bush had a campaign finance scandal and actual treason committed by people on his inner circle. Never mind swinging lucrative deals the way Cheney's companies.
These things were actually criminal by any judges standard, but did the Republicans call for an impeachment?

Nothing that Clinton has done is even remotely as criminal.
