I liked Elisez performance the best, mainly since I'm partial to hard rock. But naturally, I hav a special thing for Hollie'z song, so I foned in a vote for her.

I agree about Colton. I gess you had to be there!

I posted a few comments in the AI forum. Later I found theyd been deleted.

I read they rulez to figure out why, and its probably the BIGPIG syndrome corporationz get wen they get big enuf to require a legal department.

Money iz the blood that flowz thru the veinz uv corporationz. The lawyer types get a very paranoid, pozesive perspective that leadz them to think uv anybody possibly making any money now or in the future, no matter how small or how indirectly involving the corporation az a bleeding wound.

You will recall storyz about McDonaldz suing anybody that dared put McAnything on anything, even if their real name wuz McAnything. And Mattel doing the same with Barbie. They even sued the Barbie twinz!

So by the rulez uv the forum, you cant link to anything except media articlez about AI. Specificly forbidden are links to sites made by fanz uv the contestants! Like the company will go broke frum a William Hung fan selling T-shirts!

My posts probably got chopped bekuz I linked to the JEZUS komik. Posting or linking to a modified jpg iz specificly verboten. That, or they didnt like my discription uv the required twang in singing country muzik az 'beaten to death, but still roaming the Earth az a brain munching zombie'.

Therez also sumthing about spelling, so I wuz gilty on multiple charjez.

Too bad our Hollie seems to have thing for Jesis. Did that piss Steven Tyler off?
Wouldn't mind hearing Skylar Laine sing Red Slovine's Bringing Mary Home, maybe the most poignant country song ever. It requires magical thinking, but not necessarily the Christian kind like Jeezis Take the Wheel.

The whole front page of the Life section of the Jacksonville, FL Times-Union today is a story and pictures of 15 year-old Idol contestant Steffanie Renae who will be performing at the Clay County Fair, tonight, and elsewhere in the near future.

Did the scorecard thing.

Deandre 10
Elees 5
Filip 6
Joshua 9
Jesika 8
Holly 8
Koltun 8
Skylar 9

They saved the best for first.

I think Hollyz song selection wuz the best, bekuz thats the most ikonicly 80z uv the songz they pikt tonite. Unfortunately the band didnt find the spirit uv it, so it weakend the performans.

Wut happend with Skylar? In the setup, she wuz doing 9 to 5. I must hav mist sumxing.

Sum uv the duets were pretty good, especialllly Josh & Jes.

All in all, its like nobody in the show wuz in the 80z I wuz in. Thats my fave decade for myqzik.

You know country. Am I correct that the late 80z to mid 90z wuz the worst period? All I know iz frum about 88 to 93 frum peepl at work playing a country station and it wuz totally enclozed in a very narrow envelope - there wuz the wun the guy singz & the wun the girl singz. I think you coud program a computer to crank out 'new' songz in that range 24/7/365. Wen did that start & wen did it end? At least sum uv the newer stuff soundz like mild rock with a sprinkl uv the required twang in the voicez & guitar.

Gave 10's to
Joshua Ledet (If You ?Don't Know Me by Now) although I thought it was a little over the top.
Jessica Sanchez (How Will I Know)
Hollie Cavanaugh (What a Feeling) I thought that she nailed the song, although the juhjixz all panned her.
Skylar (The Wind Beneath my Wings)

8.0
Elise Testone ( I Want to Know What Love Is)

5.0
Colton Dixon (Time After Time)

4.0
Phillip Phillips Pitchy all over.

3.0
DeAndre Once again didn't enjoy the perfomance. Judges like it. Would like to hear him do Al Green's (I'm So in Love With You)

Duets, all terrific:
Colton and Skyar (We Got Somehin Goin On)
Hollie and DeAndre (I'm So Excited)
Joshua and Jessica

Phillipe and Elise
Bad. The choreography was okay, but the music didn't work. Harmony was off.

They mentioned Skylar switching songs during the set up. You were probably getting more Doritos or something. I hope tha Hollie doesn't get voted off just because the juhjiz hated her performance. I'm gonna listen to it again. I miss Erica Van Pelt, the blonde who went brunette. Thought her deep voice was beautiful.

I don't know what was going on in country music in the 80's. Most of what I know is early rock and roll, the Motor City Sound, the British Invasion, and Country Classics. After that my music receptors went dead or something. Maybe all the neurons were used up.

Well, I'm glad Hollie or Elise didn't go, but the thing is, I really like DeAndre, his personailty and attitude and voice, but like Jimmy said, it's that falsetto style. He didn't do it last night except for a few notes at the end.
On the other hand, I'm really getting to dislike Phillip Phillips' personality.

Just a ges, since hez a preechr.

I liked Elise the best and Colton 2nd.

To me it sounded like the piano guy wuz playing a different tune than wut Jessica wuz singing. I suppoze if I knew the original, it may hav sounded better.

I totally hate that comercial with Jordan Sparks. I dont know wut they are selling, but the I cant tolerate the rude bich interrupting her. Whoz the idiot who thinks subjecting an American Idol winner to bad mannerz and arrogance iz going to help sell the product or service?

I have:

Hollie 9 & 7 (Because I didn't know and don't lie the song.) = 16Jessican

Sanchez
8 & 11 = 19

Skylar 10 & 7= 17

Phillip 0 & 0 = 0

Joshua 9 (took off a point for too over the top) and 10 = 19
I've been pondering things like Jennifer's advice to Joshua earlier to connect more with the audience, pick out someone and sing to them, sing to her, and so on, because I've wondered if he has what the shrinks call a flat affect (af'' fect) or restricted affect, meaning lack of emotion, which would separate him from great singers like Nat King Cole to Elivis and Lionel Ritchey. But I've watched him closely and don't think it's that. I think that it's just when you go way overboard with runs and screaming and falsetto that it distracts from that connection. How can you express tender feelings of love while you're screaming? Still pondering.
I liked Clay Aiken's version better than Joshua's but still like the BeeGee's original, with the harmony, best.

I swear if Filip wins this thing I'm giving up on Idol and confining myself to preaching eternal pessimism. I mean there are a couple of people at every local bar around here who sing better than he does on karaoke night, for Pete's sake.

If you like singing more than you like yelling and screaming, and moaning, in Fillip's case, you gotta like Hollie's two songs the best of the eight. Thought she sounded a bit like Anne Murray. But the juhjiz said she sucked while they praised the other three contestants. Hope the voters disagreed again..
