WTF: Shin Godzilla.

Postby Gawdzilla Sama » Wed Aug 02, 2017 12:23 pm

Or is it "Shin Gojira". You CAN have it both ways, especially if you need to pad out 20 minutes of monster into a 1:47 movie.

But stay until the end. Because they want you to.

Overall: No worse than many Big G movies, not as bad as some. (Yes, Gymnastics Gamera, I'm looking at you!)

If the trailer is anything to go by, there is no dialogue in the movie. I like that. Is the trailer accurate in this regard? I hate it when movie characters talk.

More talk than action. You really don't get much Big G until the 47 minute mark, then it dies down again for a while.

So the trailer is a better movie than the actual movie?

I see, it's one of those movies.

What are the facts? Again and again and again-what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore divine revelation, forget what “the stars foretell,” avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable “verdict of history”--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your single clue. Get the facts!

No, it's pronounced "aye". :P

Because I'm Norsk: http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=aye

aye (adv.)

"always, ever," c. 1200, from Old Norse ei "ever" (cognate with Old English a "always, ever"), from PIE *aiw- "vital force, life, long life, eternity" (source also of Greek aion "age, eternity," Latin aevum "space of time;" see eon).

Aye is aye and eye is eye.

The first time on land, wagging his wattle at the Japanese, that's a very precious moment in Gojira history. 8-)

Silly. How would you pronounce, "Aye aye, Captain!" Or, "The 'ayes' have it."
