Ogopogo the Lake Monster

Post by Upton_O_Goode » Sat Oct 06, 2018 11:08 am

And from an unimpeachable source: Fox News!

Note: The headline screams "caught on video," and the sighter is quoted as saying that "a dinosaur came out of the water." Those two claims look much better in soft focus. The video doesn't show anything but a head that looks suspiciously like it's made of rubber. Nothing else "comes out of the water." To bolster the story, Fox adds that there have been "two more sightings" since September 12, when the video was made. Well, I imagine the rubber is pretty durable and can be used more than once.

I don't know anything about quantum mechanics, but I know what I like.

Good grief.

David Halbauer, with brother Keith, took video footage of a dinosaur like animal while picnicking by the lake on September 12.
Why's it always gotta be two brothers? :gurn:

By the way, the image they keep showing of an ugly knob sticking out of the water was taken in 2015 by Bill Steciuk. You can buy t-shirts of it here: https://www.ogopogoquest.com/tshirts.php

But, but...I saw it on FOX NEWS!! How can it be a hoax? They swore it happened on September 12, 2018.

Did you notice that the url contains the string /science/? To Fox News, this is SCIENCE, dammit! Unlike climate change caused by human action.

I logged in to say precisely that. Brothers should be investigated by a responsible judge.
And Ogopogo? C'mon!!!
Hang on - it's NOT Lake Ogopogo. It's Okanagan Lake. Ogopogo is the thing in it.
Okanagan? C'mon!!! (doesn't have quite the same ring to it).

Mea culpa! I should have said Ogopogo, the lake monster. Will fix it.
