Faced with the prospect of voting for either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton, Mary Anne Noland of Richmond chose, instead, to pass into the eternal love of God on Sunday, May 15, 2016, at the age of 68.

Yeap, the old folks are dropping like flies. To paraphrase Oscar Wilde, there is a dilemma;
either Trump and Clinton go or the old folks go. Sadly, it's always the latter. :oldman:

Japanese man arrested for putting semen-filled condoms in schoolgirls’ bags for several years

The man is being charged with property damage after the contents leaked into one girl’s bag.

A 58-year-old cleaning company employee was arrested by Tokyo Metropolitan Police yesterday after a condom containing his semen was discovered in the bag of a female high school student.

The offender, from Ibaraki Prefecture, is being held in custody for destruction of property after the fluid leaked in the girl’s bag, soiling its contents.

The incident, which occurred on the morning of 17 May inside Tokyo Metro’s Kokkaigijidomae subway station, went unnoticed until the student found the item inside her bag after arriving at school. The schoolgirl told her father, who then reported it to police.

According to authorities at Kojimachi Police Station who made the arrest, the 17 May incident was not an isolated case, with successive complaints from similar schoolgirl victims having been received. Following a DNA analysis of the fluid, it was confirmed that the condoms belonged to the same offender, who said he started placing condoms in girls’ bags two to three years ago due to work stress.

In Japan there are only so many ways to relieve stress. After all, we don`t have those guns, so we can`t just go out and shoot someone.

And employees of cleaning companies are naturally under a great deal of stress - dead end job, no pay raise since jebus walked the earth, and especially for an 58 year old - an early 20s boss who hovers and berates.

At least this one didn`t ice-pick a young girl 30+ times, or chop up an 80+ woman, and dump her dissected body in a lake, etc. - both of which made our news this week. Stress is running high these days, so semen filled condoms donated to pubescent girls isn`t the worst he could have done.

Oh - and just today as I was driving I heard on the news that a male right foot, sans stocking or shoe, was fished out of a different lake. Honest. Now why they thought it important to add the missing sock and shoe detail is beyond me...

EDIT... link to above right foot, just in case it IS yours....

I loved the hard drinkers in Japan. I was sitting in a bar in Yokosuka one time and looked across the street and see a guy peeing on telephone pole. Ok. When I looked again he was struggling to zip his pants. Another check later and he's still having trouble. Then I see him taking his pants off and trying to work the zipper by putting the tab in his teeth and pulling that way. Finally he gave up, threw his pants over his shoulder and walked off. No passer-by so much as blinked.

Scientifically scatological, or not...

The difference between these two Japanese words is roughly equivalent to the difference between the English use of `poopy` and `poop`. Unchi being acceptable for children and even used in polite conversation, and unko being a bit more vulgar and rarely used in public. The physical attributes of the excrement not being part of the distinction. But leave it to a science museum to get it wrong. How embarrassing.

My most vivid memories of Japan are guys pissing in public...... and that it is totally ignored by all. Maybe moreso.... indeed... they guys walking around with hardly any clothes on. Women never seen in either condition. Putting the P in politeness. ((Makes no sense at all....but sounds right.))

Well... somebody has to fertilize the shrubbery. These days it still happens a lot, but the police take a dim view and will `caution` the individual. Not a lot of public restrooms around, and the various gas stations, convenience stores, etc. - have too few accommodations for a beer drinking public. I have done it myself, but do look for a secluded spot.

What is worse, IMO, are the half-filled PET bottles that are discarded near intersections. Contents supplied by truckers, etc. I`d much rather they use the bushes.

Cities need more shrubs. I think it was Edinburgh, close after closing time and I crossed the street to what looked like a nice private spot to releave myself as nature would allow no other action. The smell was so overpowering, near toxic, that I surmised I was not the first person to identify this spot for what it was. I wonder if porta potties are illegal in Edinburgh?
