Anybody else going to Skepticon IV?

Sciwoman and I will be there. Friday we're going to the Creation Museum of the Ozarks. (Compound felony?)

I don't even believe it exists. I'd say I'd be there in spirit, but I don't believe I will.

I was skeptical that any rational thought existed in that region. However, after I investigated with an open mind and a critical eye, the facts started to point toward a definite conclusion. I wrote a preliminary paper and submitted it for peer-review. They were kind enough to point out some flaws in my work and I redid it, including three of them in the author list. We then attended the conference and found that there was indeed rational thought there in the nether regions of Missouri, but that it was only present during the Con. The level before and after the Con was less than one percent the level during. This made us suspect that introduced species were the cause of the phenomenon. We looked for any such and found quite a list of probables, including the PZed vulgarus, Carrier commentarius, Sanger baffledus, and, of course, the Randi droolus.

We will report on the findings of our second field trip after the data has been crunched and the hangovers have subsided.
