Last night I just missed a chance to
see what was described as an orange ball of
fire that looked like the sun when it is setting.
Flew just at the top of the trees ~ along the
lake across the street. It went so far ( about half a block) then flew off into the sky.
Any ideas as to what it was?

At least they're labelled as bots. Yesterday Aidan "liked" one of my old posts, and when I went to see which one, I couldn't figure out what there was to "like" about it.

Not a bot. It was simply a comment about paying attention & answering to people who don't make much sense. the ones labeled as trolls, with very eccentric and creationist ideas.
Anyway, newbie here, though been reading the forum for while now. Glad I joined & hopefully not unwelcome.

Hi Aidan

Newbies are welcome. So welcome to the forum. My only reservation about newbies is the fond hope they are rational people, and contribute good rational ideas. So welcome.

Welcome.

Everyone (pretty much) is welcome when they first arrive. As time passes, some become less and less welcome to some others. The forum is many things to many people, but one thing it isn't is a beauty pageant.

Don't believe everything people tell you. If you did not see it yourself, it may not have been anything much. eg. a sunset.

What? You mean that Angel wasn`t just making it all up? Hard to believe. In fact, I don`t believe it. I strongly suspect that it was just a coincidence - that on the day that Angel claimed to have just missed seeing a meteor, that a meteor actually was seen by others.

Causes of 'alien' sightings.

1. Misidentified astronomical phenomena such as the planet Venus, and meteors.
2. Misidentified human phenomena such as aircraft lights, satellites, balloons, car headlights etc.
3. Meteorological events such as unusually shaped clouds, lightning, and even ball lightning.
4. Screwed up human perception and memory.
5. Lies and hoaxes. People who tell whoppers in the hope of gaining attention. Nut cases who imagine stuff.

If there is ever a genuine alien sighting, it will be reported as such in scientific journals. Until that happens, you can assume anything else reported as alien is an error.

Angel "saw" the meteor on Canadian television, simply because someone videoed it.

There are many different videos of the same meteorite, by different people.

If your "God" is not an evolved creature from Earth.....and not an alien...... that means you agree "God" is just a fictional fairy tale, invented by humans, to control sheeple, like yourself . right ?

Try to answer a simple question about your claims and stop dodging.

If your "God" is not a normal evolved creature from Earth and not an alien, WTF do you claim your "God" is?

The three options
1) an evolved creature from Earth
2) an alien, not from Earth
3) a fictional invention from human literature.

Angel

You mention suggestion, intention, and something weird called unseen power. But you left out the one that really counts. The power of delusion.
