Dear Pyrrho your silence has been deafening, but it has been inspirational.

Allow me to share.

Recently someone that's been "debating" with me at the "SkepticForum"  who has been a reliable contributor of insults and echo-chamber cut'n pastes and misdirections ~
well this character decided that instead of trying to counter all the evidence of continued global warming,
{ That is explanations and links to resources with information and scientific arguments }  with logical discussion - this "skeptic" decided an animation of an exploding head was the appropriate response.  

Now, that a couple days {and counting} have past, it seems the moderators of said forum feel that sort of outrage is fine'n dandy.  Obscenity is strictly verboten, show some boobs and you're history... but reply to a serious conversation with an animation of an exploding head... and it's considered within SkepticForum's perception of fair play.  Well, perhaps skepticism for the sake of skepticism is their guiding principle, silly me, how could I have ever expected more from that crowd.  

I admit to still being a bit upset, though my experience at that site has given me an appreciation for the unjustifiable ruthlessness of the attacks respectable, professional scientists have, and continue to have, to endure at the hands of little more than politically motivated thugs.

As it happens I came across one of Tim Lambert's posts today and it reminded me of the long running series he's written about the orchestrated Attack On Science in The Australian.  An attack with the intent of shutting down learning and forever freezing any proactive initiative to slow down our injection of global warming causing gases into our thin atmosphere.

So as part of my "healing process"  I decided to compile an index of Tim Lambert's articles examining the strategic attack on science as it is carried out in the pages of
The Australian newspaper.

I think your post may be argumentative and disruptive.
The topic at hand includes cc's claims about responses to his teachings. His own responses are therefore reasonably taken as instructive, instructional, illustrative, remarkable.

Been chewing on this, since I'll admit I was curious if you'd weigh-in and what you'd have to say.

At first I was surprised, but than it dawned on me that having unplugged myself from TV, got bored with and set aside video/computer games (before PacMan came around) and withdrawn to the edges of civilization and spent more time doing physical work outside than internet shopping or hanging out at malls and movies and crowded stadiums and other big city haunts - Thus I've been removed from the relentless onslaught of blood and gore that's become part and parcel of modern society - and I missed out on the De-Sensitivity Training and it seems I've evolved into a slightly different species after these decades.

Also having an empathic nature watching a human head get blown up is about as ugly as it gets
and putting it out there is about aggression and veiled threats and basically the act of a sick psyche that's got nothing of actual substance to offer.  

And, maybe I'm a touch more sensitive because I'm German-American and have spent my life with that iconic question: "How could those nice, intelligent, liberal German people allow their nation to turn so demonic?"  As a kid I never ever imagined I would get to watch the process unfold first hand.  But, a look at the evolution of our political landscape speaks for itself and the mystery becomes clearer every season.

It seems hateful and obscene compared to showing a gif from Scanners, used to illustrate that an adverse announcement by a hero must cause intense internal pressure.    

Explain how planning an attack strategy to violence body and soul of intellectual opponents is so easily condoned but commenting on an opponents internal struggle is the end of the world? What would they mean  by violence to a soul ? Going after his family - "metaphorically"?

Please don't take refuge in their use of "if", that's just PC.  It's like if the sun comes up tomorrow since I don't actually know yet that the sun will be there in the morning.  I don't think it's a logical fallacy to be sure that increasing GHG injections make it a certainty... the various stages of our reckoning may be off by a decade here or there - { but that seems little justification for the hubristic contempt displayed throughout this board. }

You don't learn that if you are using ad hom it can fairly be reflected back at you.
You don't accept that If you are calling people names and constantly disparaging character, then your character is fairly called into question.
You don't accept that If you want to make claims then you need to back them up, for people to take you seriously.
You don't accept that if you refuse to answer very important questions about your claims, you are seen in an unfavourable light.

This is a skeptic community, unlike the fake "skeptical" site you love - where you and your friends and your ideas are protected from criticism.
