Man in the Garden of Eden before civilization {!#%@} us all up.

:)

Evidence of a prehistoric massacre extends the history of warfare
Science Daily

The fossilised bones of a group of prehistoric hunter-gatherers who were massacred around 10,000 years ago have been unearthed 30km west of Lake Turkana, Kenya, at a place called Nataruk.

...

Twelve skeletons were in a relatively complete state, and ten of these showed clear signs of a violent death: including extreme blunt-force trauma to crania and cheekbones, broken hands, knees and ribs, arrow lesions to the neck, and stone projectile tips lodged in the skull and thorax of two men.

Several of the skeletons were found face down; most had severe cranial fractures. Among the in situ skeletons, at least five showed "sharp-force trauma," some suggestive of arrow wounds. Four were discovered in a position indicating their hands had probably been bound, including a woman in the last stages of pregnancy. Fetal bones were uncovered.

The bodies were not buried. Some had fallen into a lagoon that has long since dried; the bones preserved in sediment.

...
Scientists don't know everything, therefore my favorite flavor of stoopidz is true.

What garden of eden?

Chimps war on one another. A product of territorial domination for genetic domination. Seen throughout the animal and even plant kingdom.

What else is even possible?

Well, things have gotten much better since the times of Eve, Adam and their two boys Cain and Abel. Back then, we had a homicide rate of 25% !
I've come up with a set of rules that describe our reactions to technologies:
Spoiler:
1. Anything that is in the world when you’re born is normal and ordinary and is just a natural part of the way the world works.
2. Anything that's invented between when you’re fifteen and thirty-five is new and exciting and revolutionary and you can probably get a career in it.
3. Anything invented after you're thirty-five is against the natural order of things.

Great example of statistics helping to clarify things. I forget now.... where did the women beyond Eve come from? Seems like some kind of "gap" if this is the story of creation? The bible supporting incest............... when thats all there is.

The Fertile Crescent still hold the title for "first organized warfare", I think.

A band of badasses eliminating another band. Not an army with ranks, standardization, grand strategy, etc.
This would have been "tribal warfare".

Fair distinction.....but I'd bet they had "a leader." Thats the way hoomans work. Hard to have uniforms when you are barely clothed to begin with?

Tribal is fair too..... if not familial? .... "extended" family?

10 dead in one spot. Must have been opposed by an equal number or more?...... based on nothing, I'll go with tribal too.

I'm a military historian. And a veteran of 20 years active duty. I wouldn't call a mob an army, ever.

It could have been a family group moving into a tribe's territory, which is why they got slaughtered. Or some of the dead could have been the "home team", and got left with the others by the survivors. You can pick almost any scenario there.

Well, the subject is "warfare" not armies and not ranks.

.............for what its worth. Hoomans waring on other hoomans.

Not very Christian ................. but very "natural."

And "warfare" is used very loosely. Do we know if one side was even armed?

It was a long OP: "....arrow lesions to the neck, and stone projectile tips lodged in the skull...."

Okay, one side was armed. But was the other side armed? Clear now?
