Update: Small victories (or is it a trap)?

My local diner switched from the easy listening station with the Christmas music to country music. Of course it's only a matter of days before the country station goes full Santa.

My local Target store -- Uncharacteristically no music at all.

Stay tuned.

It is a constant problem. Every time I got to a mall I get killed by a terrorist. It's really tedious.

Don't forget about guys like this Ray of Dark. People in his "care" have been injured and killed since... well, the NewAge.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Arthur_Ray#Career wrote:In July 2009, Colleen Conaway attended a seminar hosted by James Ray International in which the attendees were directed to dress as homeless people. She fell to her death at the Horton Plaza Mall in San Diego. She died as a result of injuries, and according to police, she had no identification on her person.[17][18]

And apparently he/they then totally ignored the tragedy when informed, didn't disclose any of it to the other payticipants and merrily carried on with his shtick...

Well, obviously we need to pass a law prohibiting homeless people from going to malls. For their own protection, of course. ;)

Just read in a history mag the actual war on christmas. By Cromwell's puritans since the celebrations was heathen and not in line with the faith. For 5-10 years in the 1600s celebrating christmas was outlawed and subject to fines or jailtime.

So, the only war on christmas ever perpetrated were by radical christians. Has a nice poetic ring to it dont it?

Likewise, "Xmas" was a Christian way of abbreviating Christmas. Nobody came up with it as a way to "take Christ out of Christmas". I hope that claim doesn't come up again this year, like it has in the past.
