No. One thing you need keep control of and keep from other members here, is your privacy. :D

Gord once posted a photo of himself, which I have cut and pasted into a large number of ridiculous cartoons. Don't tempt me with real photos.

I wasn't planning on posting photos of myself, just the designs...although I'm not easily offended and would probably LMAO at your Photoshops. Plus, I have the advantage of not believing I'm descended from otters.

Here's one design. It's an Adinkra symbol that stands for self-transformation. It's about 5cm in diameter and on the outer part of my right ankle, just above the end of the fibula.

Hahaha. Thrashgrass! That double bag of extra fun totally made my day.

I currently am in a folk metally mood, so this is my current obsession:

Not quite as humorous, just kickass with bagpipes and flute solo.

As for the tattoo question, I have one on my shoulder I got when i was 19 picturing the iconic Stickman figure from the heyday of pearl jam (was and somewhat still am a massive fan). 17 years later and still not regretting it.

Peace
Dan

I enjoyed both of those but I prefer my thrash and my metal the old fashioned way:

Saxomophones were invented to replace the string section, because there was a shortage of cat guts for strings, because people believed cats were evil and almost exterminated them.

At least, that's the story I've heard...

Anyway, turns out they're from Alberta. That must explain why they speak so strangely.

But, I'll give him his due. For 1979 that hairdo was ahead of its time.

That's the sound of my Brando leather jacket rocker days. We used to have such great pub bands in Melbourne. I don't know where to find them anymore... :(

Hey...I liked Gen X! Besides, most punk bands were ragged and borderline atonal. Half of them couldn't play or sing, which was quite beside the point, you judgmental conformist!

I'm a punk music junkie. One of my faves...love the contrast between the beachy, surf punk of the verses and the beautifully melodic chord progression of the chorus. This guy can't sing for {!#%@}, but it's a great song anyway.

Well, it doesn't offend my ears so much I need to throw my headphones at my screen in instant reflexive repulsion. And it has structure. Like a cookie-cutter does.

I'd use that song to go to the bar for another drink.

My girlfriend and I made and sold "bum flaps" at the time, which was a semi circular piece of material that you hung over your bottom. ( I never said it made sense)

The band "999" you posted, played at Dingwalls which only let people over 25 in, so I never saw them.
But I did see Joy Division at London Polytechnic, which was hilarious and funny.

Having an untucked-in shirt was a great sign of rebellion against the powers that be. Obviously, a bum-flap was an extension of that rebellion.

These days you can buy button-up, collared casual shirts with tails that are supposed to be untucked and on display.

That is the culmination of the punk movement.

We don't have to tuck our shirts in.

Thank you punk rockers.

Sadly, you can see the vestiges of punk fashion being sported today...by people punk rockers would have kicked the {!#%@} out of. Hipster men in skinny jeans and fitted t-shirts. Guy Fieri's spiked hair. Jeans that the manufacturer strategically rips for you. Sex Pistols and Misfits t-shirts being sold at Hot Topic to 14-year-old girls who have no idea who either band is. It's nauseating.

Maybe, one day in the future, Matt will be able to wear his yellow tartan tight pants and his home-made bumflap proudly, once again.

I wish I could but I loaned by bag of my punk rock clothes to my niece for a fancy dress party and she somehow lost everything.

(By this time I was wearing business suits and working as an accountant)

Twenty years later I went to dinner at some Japanese friends and their ten year old daughter was wearing yellow tartan trousers with two big zips up the back, "D" rings and leg straps. I said that she was wearing "punk rock trousers" and the parents were thrilled. I then pointed out these were actually "bondage pants" and the colours were for different English punk gangs ( called "contingents") and the parents then realised what the zips were all about.

That's a Roxy Music cover. The original is better, IMO.
What are the facts? Again and again and again-what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore divine revelation, forget what “the stars foretell,” avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable “verdict of history”--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your single clue. Get the facts!
