Do people who live in Tornado Alley come from broken homes more often than other people?

By the same token, there's a CONTROL key, but no CHAOS key. And an ENTER key, but no EXIT key.

Why is

Red = stop
Yellow = caution
Green = go

treated like

Red = stop
Yellow = {!#%@} caution
Green = go

?

I'm not sure we do, Matthew. If we're waiting, it's "Has the post come yet?" but if we're sending, we 'post the letters'. Even though we have the Royal Mail, we've tended never to use the noun 'mail' to mean 'post'. Unless it's the Daily Mail, but no one ever reads that anyway, unless they have the Mail posted to them to save public embarrassment. And we don't have a mailman - we have a postman. Unless it's a woman, when the term tends to be 'postlady' rather than 'postwoman', and 'postperson' is just so awkward and artificial.
Then email clouded the waters.

I just mail the letters. Sometimes I consider mailing packages and parcels, but it's too expensive so I just keep them.

PSI is whatever you can get. And it was, in point of fact, water pressure that put me in there.

Yes I can see you are right.

You've nailed the post issue. We can now all simply say

:.....your post royally nailed the post and mail post matter, I posted in my post, nailing royally both how post and royal mail may in poste-haste, be read as mail and post, or post and mail, as you royally nailed it.

We don't "post the mail" either. In the US, "mail" is the verb. Although it's the "post office" informally, and the US Postal Service formally. But all the workers are mail carriers, mail handlers, and mail clerks. Confusing.
