About bloody time!!!!!!!

These heartless commies have dropped the charade. Xi Jinping, the president of China now wears a traditional Mao suit, so we can spot him from from a distance at commie conventions.

Every night this week, around 2030, two juvenile red fox have come into my backyard for 10-15 minutes. They practice their fighting skills with sudden, surprise attacks on each other, generally leading to a merry chase. Both spend quite a bit of time on pouncing practice, although I haven't seen them actually catch anything yet. Then, they bound off toward the forest. It's the most adorable thing.

Later in the night, around 0100, mama comes out to hunt, heralded by an almost human scream. I would say she's fairly successful, as the white-tailed rabbit population seems to be disappearing.

I'm going to try to get some video of the juveniles tonight, although the sound will consist of my two pups howling and barking...lol.

Mmm! Walkin' birds!

I don't like turkey. It's on my list of least favourite meats. And that's a hard list to get onto.

It's just... Ack! Dry. Dry as a nun's nasty, or dry as a dead dingo's donga.

Whichever way you coin it, I'd rather eat spinach.

Serious question... Does that need to be plural? Or could it be a species reference - one specie, thus singular? :?:

In Russian two of something still use the singular form of the noun (but in the genitive case).

Whoever has cooked turkey for you has horribly overcooked it. It's not at all dry when cooked properly.

I am on my third month of chemo, and a recent scan showed measurable reduction in size of the tumours as well as reduction in swelling of the adjacent lymph nodes and other tissues – all indicative of treatment that is working. If all goes well, after another two months I will become operable and have the nasty critter taken out. And best yet- no side effects except maybe never needing to see a barber again.

TJ--good news. I hope never to have to learn this first hand, and I suppose it varies by the different cancers, but I thought they did surgery first and then chemo?................. but I'm sure your docs are right.

This is UTUC, and was already inoperable at first detection. The studies for UTUC suggest chemo first even when operable at detection - just the opposite of RCC (typical kidney cancer). Unfortunately, UTUC is sufficiently rare as to limit research trials, so most studies are case based upon few patients/reports, and thus of limited predictive value.

Good news again… I have switched to a `Dose-Dense` infusion protocol (squeezing into two weeks what was a month) with my oncologist for the first time suggesting that a `cure` might be possible, and while heretofore classified as inoperable, now have surgery loosely scheduled for late September. Double woot!

On the other hand... I have graduated from a headlight to a beacon. Sigh...

The beacon on an island outcropping sweeps the sea with unwavering brilliance on its full 360 degree cycle. The headlight just shines in one direction.... I no longer need to use reflective tape for my predawn walks. Beacons frequently get reclassified as headlights after a year or so. And this too oils me girz.
