IF YOU BELIEVE IN CONSPIRACY THEORIES, SCIENCE SAYS THERE’S SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOUR BRAIN

Postby Gawdzilla Sama » Sat Oct 28, 2017 12:12 pm

Borrowed from elsewhere:
https://content.dollarshaveclub.com/bel ... rong-brain

They posted this article which they talk about research on people who believe conspiracy theories and how they might have something wrong with the pattern recognition part of their brain.

The title: IF YOU BELIEVE IN CONSPIRACY THEORIES, SCIENCE SAYS THERE’S SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOUR BRAIN

And man were they proven right in the comments section of their facebook page.

Finding these little gems in unexpected places has become quite pleasing.

None of which were advocated by conspirach whacktards. You'll note the difference, but you won't be able to process it because this is your brain on conspiracy drugs.

you might be a conspiracy theorist if :You are capable of critical thinking.

You distrust mainstream media.

You like nature.

You think it’s a good idea to spend the Friday after Thanksgiving with your family rather than camping outside Best Buy to get a cheap plasma television made in China.

You think it’s a little strange that WTC building 7 came down at free fall speed on 9/11 yet it was never hit by a plane.

You think that drones in America might not be for Al Qaeda.

You would like to be able to get on a plane without having to engage in a mandatory radiation bath and digital strip search.

You have read a book in the past year.

You think you have the right to protest.

You think the War on Terror is a scam.

You think the War on Drugs is a scam.

You think the anger directed at America from the Middle East could possibly be related to our foreign policy rather than hating how amazingly free we are.

You think the Republicans and Democrats are exactly the same on the important issues affecting our country.

You think believing in The Constitution does not constitute a terrorist act.

You have heard of the Bill of Rights and can even name what some of them are.

You question whether the government loves you.

You think the right to bear arms is not for hunting, rather so citizens can fight back should the government become a bunch of tyrannical thugs.

You don’t own a television, and if you do, all you watch is RT, especially the Keiser Report and Capital Account.

You don’t think the NDAA is the name of Kesha’s latest single.

You think rich, powerful and connected people should be subject to the rule of law and go to jail if they commit crimes. Even if they are bankers and work at JP Morgan or Goldman Sachs.

You think corporations aren’t people.

You think Warren Buffet is a phony and a crony capitalist.

You don’t care that Warren Buffet likes cherry coke, hamburgers and ice cream. He’s still a bad guy.

You know that gold was made illegal by FDR in 1933 and confiscated from the American people. You know that gold bullion remained illegal for Americans to own until 1975.

You think politicians that push for war should be sent to fight on the front lines. If they are unable, their children should go.

You want your food to be labeled GMO so that you can make your own decisions on what you are consuming.

You grow your own food.

You buy raw milk.

You think food and energy should be included in inflation calculations.

You are aware that the Department of Homeland Security has purchased 1.2 billion rounds of ammo in the past year.

You question whether said ammo purchases are in anticipation of a Normandy beach style landing by Al Qaeda.

You think allowing a small group of unelected people (The Federal Reserve) to print unlimited amounts of money and distribute it as they please might not be a good idea.

If you answered yes to more than five of the above, you might be a conspiracy theorist. You also may be on the government’s terror watch list. Be very alarmed and report it to the authorities immediately should you discover your neighbors engaged in such uncivilized thought.

Best of luck comrades,
Mike

G.............did you ever respond to the challenge recently offered to you? Again: Yes, there are conspiracies, but then there are "not" conspiracies. How do you tell the difference?===>I don't think a Love of Nature is going to get you there, but: prove us wrong.

...........................or do you differentiate at all?

I'll keep asking until you fumble some response.

In reality Gorgeous believes and spams the following conspiracies......simultaneously.....

That alien shape shifting reptiles control the world. This includes the queen of the Commonwealth.

That a secret organisation, the Illuminati, controls the world from a park called Bohemian Grove,

That a secret government organisation has actors ready and on call, to pretend to be victims as mass shootings,

That another secret government organisation is in contact with aliens all the time,

That the only true information comes from You-Tube videos made by 20 year olds.

That "remote viewers" know the truth about everything but can't be bothered to say where missing aircraft cusing more grief to the families of passengers.

That NASA and the Russians didn't land spaceships on the moon or Mars. :D

We do not need conspiracy theories to see that there is something wrong with the brains of crackpots. We simply see the way they mirror nonsense web sites instead of actually thinking.

More seriously, the average intelligentsia could well believe some conspiracy theories. Trouble is, the media picks up on these claims and publish headline stories. So Mr. Average, no offence, says that if the media talks it up, it is probably true.

So, that being the case, science is treating ordinary citizens as brainless imbeciles. That doesn't do much for lifting science's esteem in the general populace. Totally an arrogant put down that is not warranted.

If you meet the requirements for "conspiracy theorist," every time you suspect conspiracy, you should ask yourself the following questions:
1. "How will this benefit wealthy people in power?"
2. "Is my theory logistically feasible?"
If you're unable to formulate rational answers to these question, then you may safely discard the concept of conspiracy. Example:

Chem trails
Qui bono? Well, it's possible that tranquilizing the entire population would assist the wealthy in keeping their wealth and power without worrying about mass dissent. Is it feasible? Not even remotely. It would take more planes than actually exist worldwide to disseminate a substance to the entire population. Such a substance would affect everyone differently; a dose low enough to affect children wouldn't affect adults, and a dose large enough to affect adults would kill children. Additionally, planes would be required to fly at extremely low altitudes in order to "dust" people with a substance, the way crop dusters fly. The whole idea is silly, and not a shred of evidence supports it.

"Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the U.S., in the field of commerce and manufacturing, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it."

Conspiracies depend on secrecy. If a group of "plotters" are revealed, it is no longer a conspiracy. Case in point. Take the Cosa Nostra, the mafia. Lots of conspiracies there, and lots of cases where their plotting was betrayed. Result. Da Capo in prison and no more conspiracy.

There is a simple principle, which I have explained before, but which bounces off the thick skulls of those who believe in conspiracies.

A secret can be kept by two people, if one of them is dead. Well, not quite. But the thing is that the more the number of people who know the secret, the higher the probability it will be betrayed. Researchers have found that, on average, the odds of betrayal reach 50% when the number in the secret reach 7. If the number of conspirators is 12, or 20 or more, the odds on betrayal reach 100% and the conspiracy is no more.

So it is very simple. Any secret conspiracy with too many people ceases to be secret.

Two may keep a secret, if one is dead.
